Modus 5

Modus Five is a Seattle-based company that develops multimedia learning software. Its team of professionals includes a family physician who has delivered babies for over 15 years, a registered nurse who teaches childbirth classes, a technical writer and editor, and multimedia developers.

 

 

 

 

Allison Fitzgerald, M.D.

Allison Fitzgerald, M.D., is a family medicine physician who has been delivering babies for 15 years. She has a B.A. (Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude) from Emory University and an M.D. from the University of Connecticut. She completed her residency training in Asheville, North Carolina, where she served as chief resident for two years.

Since 1992, Dr. Fitzgerald has worked at the 45th Street Clinic in Seattle, WA. She is also an auxiliary faculty member at the University of Washington. She lives in Seattle with her husband and three children, two of whom were delivered at home and one in the hospital.

 

 

 

 

Gali Rosen

Gali is an educational program developer and multimedia designer and programmer. She graduated with a B.A in Education and Literature from Tel Aviv University. She extended her studies and obtained board certification from Tel Aviv University in computer programming and the use of multimedia as a deductive tool. Gali is currently leading the development of several multimedia educational programs. She has two children and lives with her husband in Seattle, WA.

 

 

 

 

Sandra Kaplan

Sandy Kaplan is a technical writer and editor with over twenty years of private sector and freelance experience. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa (Summa Cum Laude) from Goucher College with a degree in English. Sandy has written and edited articles, textbooks, and dissertations on numerous topics, including education, commercial training, and computer science. She lives in Seattle, WA with her husband and son.

 

 

 

 

Rebekah Ashton

Rebekah Ashton is a registered nurse who completed her B.S. in Nursing from the University of Washington in 1995. She completed additional training in labor support, childbirth and lactation education. She is currently working as a childbirth educator at the University of Washington Medical Center. The mother of two girls, Rebekah lives with her husband in Seattle, WA. 

 

 

 

Julie Lyss

Julie earned her Bachelor's degree with a major in Communications from Scripps College/The Claremont Colleges in 1989. She is an experienced recruitment specialist who has executed searches for senior and executive level engineering and marketing talent for pre-IPO as well as established technology companies (Silicon Valley), as well as for physician executive positions (St. Louis).  Prior to her corporate work, Julie spent ten years in fund development for non-profit organizations, including Hillel and the Greater Chicago Food Depository. She received national recognition for her work with volunteer board development.  Julie has two children and is expecting a third in August 2006; she lives with her husband in Seattle, WA.
