Dr. John Remmers

He went on to develop various technologies and medical devices to treat this condition, most notably the Tranquility CPAP┬« (continuous positive airway pressure) device, which was licensed to Healthdyne generating $160 million in sales prior to its acquisition by Respironics in 1997. Dr. Remmers’ long-standing relationship with Respironics is the foundation of several commercialized technologies, most notably the REMstar, an automatically adjusting CPAP device, and MATRx, a mandibular advancement titration device used in the prescription and characterization of oral appliance therapy.
