CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT HOURS (CE HOURS). The course is open to all dentists who treat or have an interest in treating patients with sleep related breathing disorders. Modus Five, Dr Michael Simmons, and Appliance Therapy Group are honored to present the following people who have donated their time to further the education of dentists in learning about dental sleep medicine and the field of somnology. Our educational library features continuous education credits on contemporary issues in providing dental sleep medicine care. Features speakers include Dr’s Peretz Lavie, Philip Westbrook, John Roesler, Bruce Templeton, and Harry Cohen. We welcome your feedback and request for additional topics in future offerings

Michael Scott Simmons, D.M.D., devoted his adult life to dentistry in areas of research, learning and teaching, as well as treating patients. Graduated from The University of Pennsylvania dental school in 1981. After 5 years in general dental practice he returned to UCLA for postdoctoral advanced training in complex orofacial pain and dysfunction problems, where he studied in the dental and medical schools. Since then, he has been a part-time faculty member at UCLA teaching and being involved in research as time permits. He lectures frequently in the community as well as to other medical and dental groups especially in the area of Snoring, Sleep Apnea, TMJ and Orofacial Pain.
